PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a liquid crystal display element as a whole, and to make it small in size, by pressing an injecting sponge being a porous elastic body in which a liquid crystal has been contained enough, against an injecting hole of a liquid crystal cell container from the upper direction in a vacuum atmosphere, and returning the atmosphere to the atmospheric pressure in this state. CONSTITUTION:The atmosphere is brought to a vacuum by a vacuum pump, etc., and a liquid crystal cell container 11 is deaerated enough, and thereafter, a holder 13 is moved in the upper direction (the direction as indicated with an arrow P), and when an injecting sponge 12 is pressed against an injecting hole 11a of the liquid crystal cell container 11, width x2 of the injecting sponge 12 becomes wider than width x1 of the injecting hole 11a of the liquid crystal cell container 11, and by elasticity of the injecting sponge 12, the injecting sponge 12 is pressed effectively against the injecting hole 11a of the liquid crystal cell container 11. In this state, when gas is led into a vacuum chamber and the atmosphere is returned to the atmospheric pressure, a liquid crystal 14 which has been contained in the injecting sponge 12 is pushed into the liquid crystal cell container 11 by a difference pressure between the atmospheric pressure of the inside of the liquid crystal cell container 11 and the atmospheric pressure of the atmosphere, and the liquid crystal cell container 11 is filled completely with the liquid crystal 14. Thereafter, the holder 13 is moved in the lower direction (the direction opposite to the arrow P). |
