PURPOSE:To enhance comfortability and save manpower by providing a coolant flow control valve and a bypass passage in a coolant flow passage between an evaporator and a compressor, and closing the control valve under a predetermined condition in the subject device using the compressor of variable capacity. CONSTITUTION:When an economy switch 20 has been manually turned ON upon satisfaction of a predetermined condition including low temperature and low humidity, an electromagnetic valve 3 closes and a coolant passage is open at a bypass 6 only. As a result, a pressure loss occurs and the suction pressure of a compressor 5 gives a drop, thereby turning the compressor 5 into small capacity. Consequently, the temperature of an evaporator 1 gives a rise and low temperature and humidity conditions are improved. Then, when the economy switch 20 has been turned OFF and the electromagnetic valve 3 is opened with a rise in humidity and temperature generating uncomfortability, the suction pressure of the compressor 5 increases and large capacity becomes available. According to the aforesaid constitution, it becomes possible to save manpower, improve efficiency and enhance comfortability. |
