PURPOSE:To prevent finish picture quality from deteriorating by arranging a slit type nozzle which applies a processing liquid uniformly and a processing liquid flow passages which communicates with it on the peripheral surface of a roll which coats the photosensitive surface of a photosensitve material with the processing liquid nearby and in parallel to the cylindrical surface. CONSTITUTION:A developer spouting means 110 is fixed freely attachably and detachably to a housing 103 in parallel to the rotary shaft of the coating roll 101. The developer which is sent in from an entrance part 116 is spouted in a constant layer shape out of the slit type nozzle 115 after passing through the flow passage 114 and forms a thin film liquid layer of the developer CD on the peripheral surface of the coating roll 101 which is arranged nearby and rotates. Consequently, the fresh processing liquid is applied over the photosensitive material surface by an enough amount for each process to eliminate the deterioration of the processing liquid, thereby improving the finish picture quality.
