摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain correct and clear binarization image data even when the luminance of a picture is partially different by controlling a switch circuit, changing over to an optimum slicing level for binarization and executing the binarization processing of an image signal. CONSTITUTION:An image signal from a camera 10 is compared with prescribed slicing levels V1-V3 sent from slicing level generating devices 22a-22c respectively by respective comparators 24a-24c and converted to the binarization data of 1 or 0 by the relation of the size. These binarization data are selected and controlled by the data from a slicing level mapping memory 34 accessed simultaneously with an image memory 28 at a switch circuit 32, only one piece of binarization data is removed and supplied to a serial/parallel converter 26. The binarization data sent serially by the converter 26 are converted to the parallel data of 8 or 16 bits and stored into the memory 28.
