PURPOSE:To keep the external appearance of a unit panel good and at the same time prevent the strength of the panel from lowering by a method wherein the position of an insert is fixed at a certain fixed position with positioners and simultaneously the positioners are integrally molded as some substantial parts of the unit panel. CONSTITUTION:Under the condition that both a top force 28 and a bottom force 26 are used, a plurality of glass mats and sheet molding compounds (SMC) as molding material are set onto the bottom force 26 in the state that an insert 24 is pinched between them at their middle position. At this time, positioners 32 and 34 are fitted in fitting holes and bolt holes, which are bored in advance on the insert 24. In addition, at this time, the positioners 32 and the like are in the state afloat from the bottom force 26. When the top force 28 and the bottom force 26 are closed together in the state as just mentioned above, the molding material is flowed by means of the pressing force of the forces so as to fill all the corners of a cavity 30. Because the respective abutting surfaces of the prospective positioners 32, 34 and 36 are brought into the state being abutted against the inner surface of the cavity 30 so as to restrict the insert 24, no positional shift of the insert develops.
