摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled steel having superior wear resistance, particularly excellent in toughness, and suitable for forming rolls, fittings for forming, etc., by providing a composition containing C, Si, Mn, Ni, Mo, Co, and Al each by prescribed quantity and further containing Ti in a specific proportional range based on C content. CONSTITUTION:A high-toughness wear-resisting steel has a composition containing, by weight ratio, 0.30-1.50% C, <=0.20% Si, <=0.20% Mn, 16.0-19.0% Ni, 3.0-6.0% Mo, 11.0-14.0% Co, and 0.02-0.25% Al and further containing Ti in the following range: the lower limit is the amount obtained by adding 1.6% to four times the quantity of C and the upper limit is 1.5 times the lower limit. This high-toughness wear-resisting steel is relatively soft in the solution- heat-treated state and hardens to a marked degree by means of ageing treat ment, and moreover, it has a structure in which hard special carbides TiC are dispersed in a martensitic matrix. Therefore, this steel has superior wear resistance and is particularly excellent in toughness, so that it is used for forming rolls, tools such as metal molds for forming, dot wires for printing, etc., and can improve respective service lives of the above to a great extent.
