A pipeline for conveying corrosive media comprises a multiplicity of pipe lengths which are connected to one another on the end sides in a fluid-tight manner and consist of metal, preferably of high-grade steel. Each pipe length comprises a pipe (1) which is welded along a longitudinal seam and has a wall thickness of between 0.3 and 1.5 mm. Formed in the pipe surface, over the entire length of the pipe, is a grooving (2) which runs in the form of a helix and has a groove depth t of between 0.5 and 1.5 mm, the ratio of the spacing between two neighbouring grooves l to the external diameter D of the pipe (1) being between 1 and 3. The pipe lengths are screw-connected to one another on the end sides by means of the grooving (2) and are sealed in the screw-connection region. <IMAGE>
