PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the resistances to scuffing and weather as well as the appearance characteristic of the surface of a molded product and the resistance to heat of the molded product by a method wherein base material, consisting of specified resin material and crosslinking agent having a specified rate with respect to the resin material, is poured into a mold formed with the thin film of specified coating composition on the inner surface thereof, and is polymerized. CONSTITUTION:Monomer employed as resin material contained in base material is the mixture of alkyl methacrylate individual or the alkyl methacrylate and alpha, beta- ethylene-based unsaturated monomer capable of being copolymerized with the alkyl methacrylate. Blended amount of crosslinking agent is 2-40 weight parts with respect to the 100 weight parts of the resin material. The thin film of coating composition, containing the hydrolyzate alkoxysilane containing (metha)acryloxy group and silica sol is formed on the inner surface of a mold. Next, the mold is assembled and the mixture of the base material consisting of the resin material and crosslinking agent and polymerization starting agent is poured into the mold. The base material is polymerized and crosslinked, thereafter, a molded product is released from the mold; then, a methacryl series resin molded product, to which surface a cured film, transferred from the mold and prominent in the surface characteristic thereof, is adhered, can be obtained. |
