PURPOSE:To prevent the pollution due to the disturbance of an image and the mixed color of a developer and to execute satisfactorily the lap development by developing after the second color with a non-contact and re-charging to the electric potential where the image is not re-developed prior to the formation of the latent image. CONSTITUTION:After a photosensitive body 10 is charged by a charger 11, exposure is executed by a light scanning body 12, development is executed by a developing device to which the direct current bias electric field is impressed, by the second charger 14, the electric potential of the first developing part is made equal to the electric potential of the non-exposing part, after the re-charging is executed, the exposure is executed by the second scanning body 15 and the second color is developed by a non-contact type developing device 16. Hereinafter, under the same conditions, the charging and developing are executed and transfer is executed to a paper once. Thus, the development is executed with the non-contact after the second color, re-charging is executed to the electric potential where the image is not re-developed, without disturbing the non-fixing image formed already on the recording body, the development can be executed, the mixed color of the image is prevented, the reverse rearrangement to the developing means of the developer on the recording body can be prevented by the impression of the bias electric field.
