PURPOSE:To prevent a break out accident and to improve a quality of an edge part of sheet by arranging a heater which heats whole side wall and further another heater at near a pressed part with an edging surface of a drum. CONSTITUTION:Molten steel is poured continuously into a mold part, which consists of a gap formed between a couple of rotating drums and the side walls arranged at both sides of said drums, and when the molten steel is solidified as a plate state to produce the sheet by the continuous casting, the mold part is restrained from temp. drop at a sliding part 15 of the side wall with the drum edge to prevent the break out accident, that is, the heater 16, by which the whole side wall is heated, and further a platinum heater 17, which heats locally at the back of the sliding part 15 with the drum edge, are arranged. In this way, the occurrence of the break-out accident caused by solidifed materials sticking on the side wall 14 is prevented and the quality of the edge part of the sheet is improved. |
