Included in an X-ray fluoroscopy system is a digital image-processing apparatus which makes it possible to add digital difference-image information to an instantaneous image. By intensifying the difference-image information it can be displayed more or less pronouncedly in the moving image. The image-processing apparatus, which can here be switched on and off freely, is designed such that a subtraction image can at all times be replaced by a last-image hold image without interruption of the image display.
