PURPOSE:To bring a positive plate into close contact with a retainer by forming projections on one side of a plate-like retainer, and keeping the projection in contact with a recess between tubes of a clad type plate to press them. CONSTITUTION:A projection 4a of a retainer 4 is formed by protruding a part of the retainer to one side. Its distance P, height h, and width W are specified based on the shape of clad type positive plate. For example, the distance p between the projections 4a corresponds to the arranging distance of tubes of the clad type positive plate, and one tube is positioned between the projections as shown in a dotted line, and positive and negative plates are strongly pressed. The projection installed in the retainer 4 is installed into the recess between tubes of a positive plate 2, and the retainer 4 is interposed between both electrodes, and pressed. Therefore, the projection 4a is brought into close contact with the surface of the tube, and a space 5 between the positive plate 2 and the retainer 4 is remarkably reduced. |
