For the generation of superheated crude gasification gas, it is known from the state of the art that a condensation of liquid constituents, in particular tar and other liquid hydrocarbons, contained in the gas can be avoided by superheating crude gasification gas generated by counter-current gasification in fixed-bed gasification reactors, and transport free of by-products or dry dust removal from the crude gasification gas can thus be ensured, additional fuel or combustion of a part stream of the crude gasification gas generated being used for superheating the crude gas. According to the invention, this is avoided by using a part stream of the gasification gas being generated in the high-temperature zone (4) of the gasification zone not for low-temperature carbonisation of the fuel in the low-temperature carbonisation zone (3) but passing it via a by-pass line (2) without significant heat removal through or around the low-temperature carbonisation zone (3) of the gasification process and admixing it to the mixture of low-temperature carbonisation gas and gasification gas leaving the fuel bed above the low-temperature carbonisation and drying zone.
