PULSE GENERATOR WITH MAGNETIC POLARISATION REVERSAL

In the pulse generator with magnetic polarisation reversal, electric signals are induced in at least one receiver coil (7) by magnetic reversal of a mechanically treated wire (6). The magnetic reversal of the wire (6) is obtained by a relative motion at short intervals of a multitude of magnetic poles (5) having a different polarisation. In order to obtain dimensions as reduced as possible and an accurate initiation of the output signals from the pulse generator, the magnetic poles (5) are at least approximately parallel and the wire (6) is in alignement in the direction of the axis of the magnetic pole (5) so that one end of the wire (6) is exposed to a considerably higher intensity of the field arranged between the poles (5) having curved field lines then the other end. The pulse generator is used appropriately as a control of rotation speed or reference points in an ignition distributor.
