PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a spindle and reduction gear and to simplify the entire part of a driving system for work rolls in the stage of rolling a rolling material with two pieces of work rolls having different circumferential speed by connecting a liquid pressure motor to each work roll shaft. CONSTITUTION:Pressure oil is circulated in circulation pipeline 5, 6 by hydraulic pumps 9, 10 driven by motors 7, 8 and hydraulic motors 3, 4 are run by the pressure oil to drive the work rolls 1, 2 having the different circumferential speeds in the stage of winding the rolling material on the work rolls 1, 2 and rolling said material. The former of the rolls 1, 2 is driven at a low speed and the latter at a high speed. The speeds are controlled by detecting the rotating speeds of the motors 3, 4 with speedmeters 11, 12 and changing the angle of inclination of the swash plates or bent axes of the pumps 9, 10 to control the discharge oil flow from the pumps 9, 10. The driving system for the work rolls is thus made simple without requiring the spindle and reduction gear. |
