Computer print=out control for preventing unauthorised access to data - prevents initiation of printer drive mechanism until entered password is verified

The print-out control has a password input device (11,12) coupled to the central processing unit (7), allowing the entered password to be compared with the security passwaord before releasing data held in an intermediate store (1) prior to print-out. The printer drive mechanism is blocked until parity between the two passwords is verified. Pref. a password is selected for each document or each document page. A combination password may be used.
