摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent a cavitation from occurring, by driving a refrigerant feed pump continuously at a time when refrigerant temperature at the outlet side of a condenser condensing the refrigerant vapor generated at a water jacket is high, while making it perform a passage switchover in a selective manner. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus bearing the above caption cools an engine 1 by means of boiling evaporation of a liquid phase refrigerant inside a water jacket 2, leading the refrigerant vapor produced into a condenser for cooling and condensation, and after being stored in a lower tank 19 as the liquid refrigerant, it makes the vapor flow back to the water jacket 2 by a feed pump 4 to be intermittently drive according to output of a liquid level sensor 8. In this case, a three-way solenoid valve 26 is installed interposingly between a solenoid valve 25 and the water jacket 2 in a refrigerant circulating passage 22, and an interval between the said valve 26 and the lower tank 19 is connected with each other by a refrigerant return passage 27. And, when refrigerant temperature inside the lower tank 19 is more than the specified value, the feed pump 4 is continuously driven, while the solenoid valve 26 is intermittently controlled, making it perform a passage switchover.
