摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a liq. crystal compsn. which is high in response rate, low in cross frequency, fc, high in absolute value of dielectric anisotropy, epsilon, in both low-and high-frequency regions and excellent in low-temp. resistance, by incorporating at least eight specific kinds of compds. CONSTITUTION:At least one compd. selected from among those of the formulae I-VIII (wherein R1, R6-R8, R1'-R2' and R6' are each a 1-10C straight-chain alkyl; R2-R5 and R3'-R5' are each a 1-8C straight-chain alkyl) and mixed with each other. The amount of each compd. of 10-60% (by weight; the same shall apply hereinafter) in the case of the compd. of the formula I, 1-40% in the case of the compd. of the formula II, 1-30% in the case of the compd. of the formula III, 1-25% in the case of the compd. of the formula IV, 1-15% in the case of the compd. of the formula V, 1-15% in the case of the compd. of the formula VI, 1-25% in the case of the compd. of the formula VII, 1-20% in the case of the compd. of the formula VIII. If necessary, 1-10% compd. of the formula IX wherein R9 is R2) and/or 1-10% compd. of the formula X (wherein R10 and R2) are added thereto.
