The radiant heating jacket pipe (1) has an annular space (6) which is formed by a jacket pipe (3) and, arranged concentrically with a spacing from the latter (3), a burner pipe (4), through which hot waste gases are carried off. Provided between burner pipe and jacket pipe are support elements (5) which bridge the annular space (6). In order extensively to avoid harmful stresses on the pipes (3, 4) as a result of different expansion of the pipe materials, the support elements (5), which are distributed uniformly over the circumference of the annular space, run in each case in the longitudinal direction of the burner pipe (4) and are provided with support surfaces which extend continuously essentially over the axial length of the annular space. <IMAGE>
