HEATING METHOD FOR TUNDISH NOZZLE

PURPOSE:To prevent the solidification of a molten steel by inserting a burner into a discharge hole of an immersion nozzle attached with a tundish nozzle in the bottom of a tundish and heating directly the immersion nozzle and tundish nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The tundish nozzle 11 is provided to the bottom of the tundish 10 and the immersion nozzle 12 is attached to the lower part thereof. A discharge port 12a is formed in the lower part thereof. The outside periphery of the nozzle 12 is covered by a heat insulating pot 13 or heat insulating cover 14. the pot 13 or the cover 14 is provided with a burner nozzle hole 13a or 14a in the position where said pot or cover faces the discharge hole 12a of the nozzle 12. The burner 15 is inserted through the burner nozzle 13a or 14a into the discharge hole 12a of the nozzle 12. The inside wall of the nozzle 12 and the tundish nozzle 11 is then directly heated.
