PURPOSE:To install a hydraulic cylinder at the position where an arm is hardly broken such as in case of backhoe hydraulic shovel by reversing the position of the output edge so that the max. output can be obtained when the hydraulic cylinder contracts. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder-side output edge 14 is installed onto the rod side where the piston rod 3 of a cylinder body 1 projects through a connecting arm 15. While, a rod-side output edge 16 is positioned onto the opposite side to the cylinder-side output edge 14 through a connecting arm 17. A hydraulic cylinder 18 is contracted in case of the max. output where a hydraulic pressure acts onto a bottom 4 side, and the breakage of said hydraulic cylinder 18 can be prevented by installing said hydraulic cylinder 18 inside the arms 10 and 11.
