PURPOSE:To perform data processing inexpensively at a high speed by constituting tow synchronous general processors so that they are operated in opposite phases of synchronizing clocks and processing data in one processor when the other does not use a bus. CONSTITUTION:A print control system consists of a host CPU1 which supplies print data, a mechanism part 2 of a line printer or the like which prints data, and a printer control part 3 which performs the data processing between them, and two synchronous general MPUs (microprocessor) 4M and 4S are used in the control part 3. The MPU 4M is used as a master processor which controls the printer, and the MPU 4S is used as a slave processor which performs the interface processing to the host,and a RAM6 is connected to them. ROMs 5M and 5S where programs independent of each other are stored are provided for both MPUs, and they are operated in opposite phases of synchronizing clocks. Thus, MPUs 4M and 4S share the RAM6 connected to the bus without contention on the bus.
