PURPOSE:To provide gear-type transmission of a vehicle with conpact construction by having a primary input shaft and a secondary input shaft drive the same transmission gear via a middle shaft by the use of a friction clutch. CONSTITUTION:A primary input shaft 3 is connected to a one-way clutch 4 and joined with a primary input ger 5. A secondary input shaft 6 is joined with a secondary input gear 8 via a friction clutch C1. A middle shaft 10 is disposed in parallel with both the primary input shaft 3 and an output shaft 9. In comparison with the conventional construction wherein input shafts drive independent transmission gear systems, the construction in accordance with this invention enables the transmission gear ratio of being halved and the size of transmission gear can be reduced. And furthermore, the transmission gear can attain overdrive without the mounting of an overdrive gear. |
