REMOVAL OF MATERIAL STICKING TO SURFACE OF ROLL IN MOLTEN METAL PLATING BATH

PURPOSE:To prevent the stop of rotation of a roll owing to excessive pressing force by maintaining the adequate pressing force of a doctor blade to the roll in a bath and removing the material sticking to the roll surface. CONSTITUTION:The deposit such as dross sticking to the surface 4a of the roll 4 in a molten metal plating bath cell 1 is removed by the doctor blade 12. The doctor blade 12 is forward and backward movably supported by a support 13. A worm gear 12a is engraved to the second half part thereof and a worm wheel 14 is meshed therewith. The worm wheel 14 is connected to a variable motor 16 via a torque sensor 15. The pressing force of the doctor blade 12 advanced by the motor 16 to the roll 4 is detected by the torque sensor 15. The torque sensor 15 controls the motor 16 by the set torque value and adjust the pressing force to an adequate value.
