The invention relates to a switching apparatus for video signals, particularly for use during computer education, having inputs and outputs for video signals, and makes it possible to connect a teacher's computer and a plurality of students' computers having visual display units, in such a manner that the teacher can display the video signals produced by his computer or by the computer of a student on his visual display unit, and in such a manner that the video signals from their own computer, the teacher's computer or, possibly, another student's computer can be displayed on the students' visual display units.
