PURPOSE:To make it possible to bond the cover of a battery jar and the terminal concurrently by providing an auxiliary pot part adjacent to a through-pot part in the battery jar and inserting the branch shape projection of a polar column in the said auxiliary pot part for displacing and overflowing an adhesive from its inside. CONSTITUTION:A through-pot part 6 is provided at the terminal of the jar cover 2 of a sealed type lead storage battery and an auxiliary pot part 8 is formed adjacent to the said pot part 6. And the cover 2 is reversed and an adhesive 5 is filled in the auxiliary pot part 8 and a grooved part 10, and the bonded part 9 of a battery jar 3 having a group of plates in an inverted state is inserted in the grooved part 10 for bonding. At the same time, a projection 7 of branch shape monolithically formed as part of a polar column 1 is inserted in the auxiliary pot part 8 to displace the adhesive 5 for its flowing into the pot part 6, so that the polar column 1 is bonded. Therefore, it has become possible to bond the terminal concurrently with the bonding of the battery jar 3 and its cover 2, and improve workability through only one bonding process. |
