摘要 PURPOSE:To enable image formation using coherent monochromatic light by forming photoreceptive layers of multilayer structure contg. specified substances, arranging nonparallel interfaces in their minute pats in at least one direction perpendicular to the film thickness direction in a large number, and smoothly connecting each plane. CONSTITUTION:Multilayer photoreceptive layers 1000 are formed by laminating on a substrate 1001, the first layer 1002 made of an amorphous material contg. Si and Ge, the second photoconductive layer 1003 made of an amorphous material contg. Si, and a reflection preventive surface layer 1006 in this order from the substrate side. The layer 1002 contains Ge in a distribution nonuniform in the layer thickness direction, and the layers 1000 contain one of O, C, and N elements, ad form a pair of nonparallel interfaces or more in each minute pat, arranging a large number of such interfaces in at least one direction perpendicular to the layer thickness direction, and smoothly connecting them in the arranged direction. Such constitution is suitable to the image formation using the coherency and the interference fringe pattern in the image formation and the spots in the reversal development can be perfectly eliminated at the same time, and the superior durability and photoreceptivity is obtained.
