The cover is in two halves (7,8), each of the undersides of which is provided with a through track (11,12). These tracks intersect each other, and at the crossing point a guide pin (13) extends upwards through both tracks from a slide radially movable in a fixed part (6) of the cover. The slide is guided by two parallel edges (15,16) which are slightly tooth-shaped. The pin is activated radially inwards by a draw spring (17) between it and a fixture socket(5). On the facing edges (18,19) of the cover halves are two inclined outwardly-directed guide lips (20,21), and a brake shoe (22) is fitted on the cover fixed part. In the peripheral feed-out aperture (30) of the cover is fitted a collection container (31) with a metal netting type removable bag (32). A U-shaped guide plate is fitted in the feed-out aperture inserting with one arm on either side of the tool (3) and locating tightly against the cover inner walls. The plate is so directed that swarf (24) is fed through the feed-out aperture and into the collection container. |
