PURPOSE:To uniformly cool the periphery of a combustion chamber by simplified constitution, by introducing lubricating oil to a part positioned in the upper of the combustion chamber in a cylinder head and cooling the periphery of the combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:Lubricating oil is supplied into a recessed part 26, 28, 30, formed in a cylinder head 10, through an oil passage 342, formed in a cylinder head tightening bolt 340 in a cylinder head cover 260, and a pipe 344 fitted to a hole 180 formed in a flange part 174, 176. In this way, the cylinder head, utiliz ing the lubricating oil to cool the periphery of a combustion chamber and elimi nating the necessity for providing a water jacket, enables constitution to be simplified. |
