A hammock consisting of a trestle section (1) and a swing seat (4) which is suspended within the trestle via a number of stays (5, 6, 7). These are fastened at the lower end to both sides of the swing seat, and are fastened to the trestle at the top part on either side of the swing seat, whereby a seating arrangement (12) and back rest (13) is formed. The back rest (13) is connected via joints to the seating section (12), and the stays (5, 6, 7) numbers at least six, with three stays situated at each side of the slung section. At least one of the stays on either side is adjustable in relation to its operative length at either side of the slung section so that the slung section can be adjusted between a first position (in which the back rest is mainly upright or sloped in relation to the seating) and a second position (where the back rest (13) is collapsed in a prone position mainly in the same plane as the seating) so that the back rest and the seating together form a type of bunk unit.<IMAGE> |
