PURPOSE:To elevate the accuracy with an intensified noise resistance, by converting a reference signal necessary for the pulse height discrimination of an output signal from a radiation detector into a digital value or a frequency to be transmitted from the monitor side. CONSTITUTION:A pulse height discriminator 3 compares the peak value of a pulse signal outputted from a preamplifier 2 with a reference signal level outputted from a reference signal setter 11 to output a digital pulse signal with respect to the pulse signal with the pulse height larger than the reference signal level. Then, this digital pulse signal is inputted into a transmitter 4 to be transmitted to a receiver 6 on the monitor side through a transmission path 5. The output signal of the receiver 6 is inputted into a counting rate meter 7, which counts the digital pulse signal inputted per unit time to determine the counting rate. Thus, the noise resistance can be intensified to elevate the accuracy.
