The board forms for example the door of a ticket vending machine and has push buttons (4) to permit selection of the tickets and signs (5) which indicate what the buttons (4) are for. It has a support panel (6) to which a cover panel (7) is bonded. The cover panel (7) has the same thickness as the signs (5) and has punched-out holes (8) which are adapted to the signs (5). The signs (5) are bonded onto the surfaces of the support panel (6) which correspond to the punched-out holes (8). To permit replacement of the signs (5), passage holes are provided in the support panel (6) through which a pin can be pushed from the rear of the support panel against the sign (5) in question. The push buttons (4) have a head part (11) and a collar (12). The head parts (11) are mounted in individual punched-out holes (15) of the cover panel (7) and the collars (12) of one row (1, 2, 3) of push buttons are arranged in an elongated punched-out hole (16) of the support panel (6) and are resiliently supported on the rear of the cover panel (7). The board with the signs (5) which are inserted so as to be flush with it is easy and cheap to produce and fastening elements can be mounted on the rear of the support panel (6), finishing traces which appear on the front of the support panel (6) being covered by the cover panel (7). <IMAGE>
