PURPOSE:To execute efficiently a transaction by storing a program of a transaction processing procedure in an IC card, and providing the minimum function required for a transaction on a terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:When a customer inserts an IC card into an IC card inserting port of a terminal equipment, a CPU1 of the IC card reads out data such as an ID mark, a bank number, an account number, etc. indicated on a memory map, and a data for specifying a transaction account, from a ROM2, and transmits them to an IC card reader 9 of the terminal equipment through a contact 5b. Also, in the terminal equipment side, a main control part 8 transmits a transaction avilable telegraphic message to the IC card, when the ID mark, etc. in the data received through the reader 9 coincide with a discriminating data of a banking organ to which its terminal equipment belongs. By receiving it, the IC card side sends a program of a transaction processing procedure of the ROM2 to the terminal equipment, if a transaction telegraphic message is received already, and the terminal equipment executes the transaction processing in accordance with this procedure. |
