PURPOSE:To support without disturbing the vibration of a vibrator by supporting by a supporting member having an auxiliary vibrator in a motor for driving a movable element by generating a traveling vibration wave at a ring-shaped vibrator by an electrostrictive element. CONSTITUTION:A supporting plate 23 having an auxiliary vibrator 23a is secured to a ring-shaped elastic member 21, a ring-shaped electrostrictive element 22 is further secured to form a ring-shaped vibrator 24. The vibrator 24 is supported by the vibrator 23a to a motor pivot 25, and a rotor 29 energized by a spring 28 is planely contacted. A frequency voltage is applied to the element 22 to rotate the rotor 19 by the traveling vibration wave generated at the vibrator 24. Thus, the vibrator 24 can be supported in a simple structure without decreasing the performance, thereby improving the durability and reducing the cost. |
