Special technology for improving the quality of sandy soils in arid zones for the purpose of obtaining large and constant agricultural productions, consisting in separating the agricultural layer from the remainder of the soil by using a layer of waterproof material which is horizontal and continuous, by using a layer of hydrophilic material disposed on the previous one, using a layer of compost installed above in order to facilitate the initiation of microflora, by the importation of drinking water using oil, gas and ore ships returning empty after their export voyages or simply unused ships, by the application of a special agricultural technology and permanent specialised technical assistance. <IMAGE>
