PURPOSE:To calibrate the operation of a temperature controller rapidly over a wide temperature range by forming optional low and high temperature environments easily around the temperature controller by using a cover for a calibrator body, a heating/cooling device, etc. CONSTITUTION:In case of calibrating under low temperature environment, the controller 1 is set, a radiator plate 5 is arranged in the cover, the heating/cooling device 4 is fitted to the cover 3 and the contoller 1 is covered with the cover 3. Current is made to flow into a thermomodule 6 to cool air in the cover and the cooled air is circulated by a circulation fan to drop the temperature in the cover. While visually measuring the temperature inside the cover by a thermometer 13, the temperature is dropped down to a prescribed low temperature. At that time, the opening/closing sound of an operation switch of the controller 1 is detected by a microphone 15 to check whether the controller 1 operates properly or not. Therefore, the operation of the controller 1 can be calibrated within a winter season temperature setting range at the start of the winter season. At the calibrating under high temperature, the heated air is used in stead of the cooled air and approximately similar operation is executed. |
