PURPOSE:To obtain a lamp suitable for powersaving by lighting an unsaturated vapor pressure type high-pressure sodium lamp in combination with a high-pressure mercury lamp stabilizer and by specifying the relation of the secondary no-load voltage of the stabilizer, the rated lamp power, and the lamp voltage of a sodium lamp. CONSTITUTION:In a luminescent tube 2 consisting of light transmissible ceramic are enclosed sodium, mercury, and starting rare gas with one or more of potassium, rubidium, and cesium. An unsaturated vapor pressure type high-pressure sodium lamp, which vaporizes all the amounts of enclosed materials when the lamp is stabilized, is lit up in combination with a high-pressure mercury lamp stabilizer. And when the secondary no-load voltage of the stabilizer is expressed as V2 (volt), the rated lamp power of a suitable high-pressure mercury lamp as Wl (watt), and the lamp voltage of a sodium lamp as V (volt), these items are set to satisfy the following equation: (1) when Wl>=250, (0.008Wl+142).V2/200<= V<=(0.008Wl+157).V2/200; (2) when Wl<250, (0.07Wl+125).V22/200<=V<=(0.07 Wl+140).V2/200. |
