<p>Blast furnace gas extraction plant comprises a discharge channel with an adjustable throttle. The throttle incorporates a ring gap washer, the width of the gap of which is adjustable. To the conical adjusting element of this is attached coaxially a cylindrical throttle element which together with the bore of the discharge channel form a throttling gap. Both the throttle element and the bore of the channel in this region are fitted with throttle ribs which extend over only part of the length of the throttle element resp. the channel. The extent of overlap of these ribs is adjustable and is done by the same adjusting movement as is employed for altering the ring washer gap.</p> |
