PURPOSE:To enable the accurate detection of the sizes of an object to be conveyed by providing detecting means on the upstream and downstream sides of a conveying member, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A copy 2 set on a copy setting table 1 is given a conveyance force by manual insertion, a feeding roll 5 and a conveyor belt 8 until it is conveyed to a delivery tray 13, and when the rear end of the copy is separated from the feeding roll 5, the copy is given the conveyance force only by the conveyor belt 8. The copy 2 is held between the feeding roll 5 and a lower roll 6, and it is conveyed at a prescribed speed while the conveyance force is given thereto. Meanwhile, the feeding roll 5 and the lower roll 6 rotate at a prescribed speed. A time during which the copy 2 is held between the feeding roll 5 and the lower roll 6 and conveyed at a prescribed speed is measured by sensors S1 and S2. |
