PURPOSE:To prevent breakage of windmill blade by a method wherein the rotary shaft of a generator is provided with a connector and an air machine to consume all of rotating power generated by the windmill blade when a given rotation is exceeded. CONSTITUTION:When the troubles of a brake 4, a controller 8 or an electric source 10, except the trouble of a variable pitch device 2, are caused, the rotation of the windmill blade 1 can be an abnormal high speed. As a counter measure for the abnormal speed, the connector 11 is operated when the windmill blade has arrived at the given rotation, a blower 12 is driven and all of the rotating power generated by the windmill is consumed for the work of the blower 12 by selecting the capacity of the blower at a given level. According to this method, the over-rotation of the windmill may be prevented. Accordingly, the breakage of the windmill blade may be prevented. |
