To achieve a satisfactory pressing result, it is necessary for the temperature of the pressing body to be constant over its entire pressing surface. The pressing machine according to the invention is equipped, on the inside of the pressing body, with one or more electrically heatable high-temperature radiators. The heat emission takes place uniformly in the radial direction, so that the pressing body is heated uniformly. If the pressing body is designed in the form of a cylinder, the high-temperature radiator is arranged in the longitudinal mid-axis of the pressing body. Since the heat requirement is greater on the run-in side or in the run-in region for the pressing material because of the moisture content, the high-temperature radiator can also be arranged parallel to the longitudinal mid-axis of the pressing body and offset towards the run-in side. Where pressing bodies of non-circular cross-section are concerned, a plurality of high-temperature radiators can be used according to the cross-sectional shape. To regulate the temperature, there is a regulating device equipped with a temperature sensor. <IMAGE>
