PURPOSE:To reduce the number of time of transmission by adding a check sum code corresponding to the sum between a custom code and an operating state setting code in the remote control of an air-conditioner so as to reduce the operating state setting data thereby setting once plural kinds of the operating states. CONSTITUTION:When a key circuit 1 is operated and a desired operating state is set, an operating state setting code in response to the contents of the setting is generated from a generating circuit 3 and stored respectively in a check sum code generating circuit 7 and a serial signal generating circuit 8. The operating state setting code is modulated by a modulating circuit 9 and transmitted from a lighting circuit 10 to an air-conditioner main body. The air-conditioner main body checks the custom code of the received operating state setting data and the operating state setting code by the check sum code for whether or not the operating state setting code is in error. As a result of discrimination, when the custom code corresponds to the air-conditioner, the operating state setting code is received at first. |
