PURPOSE:To decrease the increase in redundancy and to detect an address or a C&D signal even at high speed searching by adding an address signal to the region of a prescribed bit number at each other block, and adding an additional information signal other than the address signal to the same location of the next block. CONSTITUTION:A signal read from a magnetic tape at reproduction is amplified by a reproducing amplifier 12, enters a reproducing system digital signal processing circuit 13, where error detection/correction/compensation of data are executed and the data of one block is stored once in a memory 14. When an ADDRESS signal is added, the address is read as it is and if no ADDRESS is added, the address is confirmed by the ADDRESS of a preceding block. One frame consists of 256 blocks, the ADDRESS and the C&D are added at each other block and the address or the C&D signal is detected when the data of a block is read by a rotary head at the high speed searching. |
