<p>Before the shaft (4) is inserted through a circular hole in the wall of the housing (2), a flanged securing collar (5) is clamped around a section (4a) of the shaft (4) which has a reduced diameter. The collar, of springy material, has a vertical gap in it which allows its diameter to be reduced. When the lower end of the shaft has engaged with the mechanism (3), the collar clamp is released and the collar expands. The flanges on the collar prevent any vertical movement of the shaft.</p> |
