摘要 PURPOSE:To rationalize a manufacturing process by inserting a group of electrode plates into electrolytic cells, connecting with each other electrode columns for connecting among cells to form an electrode column upper part into a double injection type, and thereafter welding an exhaust gas collecting wall with a cap and then welding the cap with the electrolytic cell. CONSTITUTION:A group of electrode plates 11, 11', 11'' are inserted into respective cells 10, 10', 10'' in an electrolytic cell 4, and the upper parts of electrode columns 12 for connecting the cells of the group of the electrode plates placed in the adjoining cells are welded and connected with each other, and thereafter the upper parts of the electrode columns 12 are each formed into a double injection type by means of a synthetic resin forming machine to form a double injection part 22. Successively, after a fitting groove 13 of the exhaust gas collecting wall 14 is fitted into an inclined notching part 6 of a cap partition part 7, the collecting wall 14 and an exhaust gas collecting wall joining part 5 are welded by ultrasonic waves to form an exhaust gas collecting chamber 15. Thereafter, the uper parts of the electrolytic cell 4 and the partition wall 2 are fused with heat to the lower part of the cap 9 to complete the manufacture of an enclosed type battery. In such a way, it is possible to rationalize a manufacturing process.
