A one-piece spacer (3), made of plastic material, specially for the frame of a motor vehicle seat with the parallel wires (6) and a wire (7) of the seat edge reinforcement, consists of a foot part (1) and a head part (2) which are joined by a web (3a). The wires (6) fit into U-shaped clamping recesses (4,5) in the foot part. A pocket (9) in the head part (2) accepts a loop (8) in the wire (7) with a clamping fit.
