PURPOSE:To obtain a tension leveler which prevents generation of a chuck mark, and has a high commodity value by providing a vibration attenuating device for preventing a vibration of a strip, on the front and/or the rear of a tension leveler against the moving direction of the strip. CONSTITUTION:A vibration attenuating device 16 is placed, for instance, on the rear against the moving direction of a strip 1, of a tension leveler 10. In this device 16, a freely rotatable dash pot 12 is attached to a deflector roll bearing 8 through a pin 15, at an almost equal interval in the plate width direction of the strip 1. Also, a revolving shaft 14 is supported so as to be freely rotatable by a bearing 17 provided on the lower end part of the pot 12, and moreover, a roller 11 fitted at an almost equal interval to the shaft 14 can be rotated so as to be pressed against on the strip 1 by a prescribed surface pressure. When the device 16 is constituted in this way and the strip 1 is corrected by the tension leveler 10, a vibration of the strip 1 can be suppressed, therefore, a beautiful product having no chuck is obtained. |
