PURPOSE:To enable to obtain an image-forming method whereby an easily portable property can be obtained, less energy is consumed and an ink is consumed economically, by using an ink material comprising a plastic and thixotropic material. CONSTITUTION:The ink material 10 consists of a plastic and thixotropic material, and exhibits the Newtonian flow when a shearing force is exerted thereon. The ink material 10 is contained in a hopper 12 faced to a roller 11, and a thermal head 14 is provided on the inside of a blade 13. Accordingly, since the thermal head 14 makes direct contact with the ink material 10, recording can be conducted by providing a small quantity of thermal energy, and high-speed recording can also be conducted. In addition, since only a required amount of the ink material 10 is consumed in response to thermal energy given thereto, the ink material 10 is consumed economically. |
