<p>S-triethyl-phosphino-avro 2,3,4,6-tetra-o-acetyl 1-thio beta-D-glucopyranoside of formula (I) is prepd. by (1) reacting a potassium salt of 2,3,4,6-tetra-o-acetyl 1-thio beta-D-glucopyranoside of formula (III) with a gold iodide in aq. alcoholic medium at 5 deg. C; (2) extracting with a non-polar solvent such as benzene or CCl4 to obtain a cpd. of formula (II); (3) reacting with triethyl phosphine in ethanol soln. in presence of a non-polar solvent, to obtain the product (I). The reactions are carried out in a tri-phase system (2 liq. and 1 solid), in the same reactor without intermediate isolation.</p> |
