A cladding element comprising a panel (1) of thermally insulating and rigid material, one of the faces of which carries evenly spaced-apart bosses and a facing plate (2) of rigid and strong material, such as asbestos cement or polyester concrete, which is adhered to the bosses (4, 40) and defines with the panel (1) a layer of air, characterized in that the panel (1) only comprises a few bosses (4, 6, 40) which are spaced from one another in the two directions of the insulating panel (1) and which occupy only about 20 % of the area of this panel, and the facing plate (2) is shorter than the insulating panel (1) so that is cannot come into contact with the facing plate of a juxtaposed element and the vertical joint (14) between these elements remains open, which permits the ventilation and the equalization of the air pressures on each side of the facing plate.</p> |
